Great microwave

Took a little longer than I would've liked to receive my unit but so far I am loving it. Has a great range of features and the built in hood is far more effective than the previous hood that was installed. As other have also stated my only complaint would be the full size door on the unit as it is big and bulky and requires you to move completely out of the way of catch the door with your face. All in all this is a great product and I look forward to using it for many years to come.

A Good Result From A Very Unique Microwave!

We finally got the microwave delivered, and we actually ended up installing it ourselves since the install company did not have the right tools to do it. Bummer! Anyway, the actual microwave is very nice. We have 8 foot ceilings in our kitchen, so the increased room above the range is wonderful. The LED lighting is a daylight color temperature that is much nicer (and accurate) than our previous microwave. The vent is definitely very powerful and is one of the primary reasons I purchased this, and it is able to exhaust a large amount. The microwave itself is very high wattage and cooks quickly. On the negative side, I would say it is somewhat annoying that the entire front is a door. Most "normal" microwaves have the door separate from the panel, but this one has the panel integrated. As such, the entire front swings open, and you kind of need to move out of the way to open and close it. Also, I wish the vent inlets were a little closer to the front of the microwave to cover the front burners better. Still, it's a very nice microwave, and I expect it to last for many years!

This Has Made a Huge Difference to my Kitchen!

Before I got My Samsung Slim Over-the-range Microwave my kitchen had no Ventilation and my Range was dimly lit. This Microwave has made all the difference in the world! The 550 CFM Ventilation works wonderfully! I can now cook a steak in my cast iron skillet without setting the smoke alarms off, and the bonus is actually being able to see what I am cooking! I Love the voice activation, which allows me to multi-task and not stop what I am doing to turn on the microwave, especially when I have messy hands! Don't let the Slim part of the name fool you because I can fit my glass casserole dish and My 8 cup measuring cup in it with room to spare! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an Over-the-range Microwave that looks amazing, has great features and will make any kitchen more useful!

Skinny and Cute

I was a little worried about getting this microwave. I was afraid that it would be too small and that I wouldn't be able to fit everything I wanted in it. That is actually not true. Everything fits just fine. I like that is smaller and you can see more of my backsplash. It looks very fancy in my kitchen. Some of the pre-programmed buttons are a little bit silly but that's just because I don't normally use them. The microwave is very powerful and cooks food well. I love that the vent automatically turns on when I'm looking on the stove since they're linked. I'm happy that I made the switch.

Great function, defective mounting design

a bracket at the back wall & 2 top-front screws secure the unit to the cabinet above. under load, the internal mounts bend/deform the top metal of the unit up and out so you cannot get the unit level. we lowered the back bracket another 1/4 inch, but the top of the unit where the screws connect continued to deform outward 1/4 to 1/2 inch. i hope this isn't a design flaw in all units. we did not wish to return the unit, so we installed supports on the underside of the unit to hold it up and only loosely connected the bolts on top for emergency support. i am frankly stunned to come across this basic and dangerous design flaw. i didn't want to go through a return-and-replace when the next unit might be similarly defective so i kept it in place.
